How to Become a LinkedIn Top Voice? I am LinkedIn Top Voice 2024

Here’s my story:

According to the latest data, this network has over 1 billion registered users from 200 countries and regions worldwide.

135M+ users in India, after the USA holds 225M+ users.

I received a mail from LinkedIn on 10th January 2024 at night:

PS: I’m not sure why my image is not reflecting.

When I started adding it on LinkedIn.

For some reason, it was not reflecting.

I thought it could be a glitch and not as I have received the LinkedIn Top Voice Badge.

The next day, I saw the badge on my profile.

I can’t share my happiness in words; you can see the image below:

Why me?

I analyzed all the profiles who received the LinkedIn Top Voice Badge. They all created 2 kinds of content:

1. Storytelling.

2. Domain Expertise.

My profile tick marks both kinds of content that I have been sharing, plus giveaways.

Why did I start writing on LinkedIn?

To improve my content writing and content structure.

I gave myself a target to write on LinkedIn for a year, and yes, it worked.

And while being in completing my target, I got my first viral post (132K views and 8 Leads)

I realized the power of quality content on LinkedIn.

I started on LinkedIn on 1st May 2021, and on 10th January 2024, I received LinkedIn Top Voice.

The journey was started as a freelancer, and now, Founder of Growfluence.

Why should you start writing on LinkedIn?

Create your Personal Brand.

Be a Thought Leader in your niche.

Attract your target audience for conversions.

Create a system for a newsletter to get consistent leads.

How to grow on LinkedIn in 2024?

I believe there are only 2 ways:

1. Chase Numbers.

2. Chase Credibility/ Thought Leadership / Leads.

I am the latter one.

Why?

As it perfectly aligns with my goals.

You can select one depending on your goals.

If I had to start things from scratch, I would do this:

1. Understand what I need to achieve from LinkedIn.

2. Create my goals:

If on the Job: Create my presence through the posts.

If a Freelancer: Create my personal brand for leads.

If a Founder: Create my personal brand for leads & thought leadership.

3. Create my ICP (Ideal Client Profile)

4. List down the services to become a Thought Leader in the niche.

5. Create my content calendar for 30 days.

6. Make use of the content funnel:

TOFU: Top of the Funnel.

MOFU: Middle of the Funnel.

BOFU: Bottom of the Funnel.

7. Create a month’s content within 2 days.

8. Within 6 days, 3 months of content will be in place for my personal brand.

1. How do I become a LinkedIn top voice?

Start writing on LinkedIn.

Share your stories and expertise.

Avoid joining community pods if you need credibility.

2. Does a LinkedIn top Voice get paid by LinkedIn to create all that amazing content?

LinkedIn doesn’t pay anything to the creator for posting the content.

Yet you can earn from LinkedIn if you are a creator:

1. Writing sponsored posts for brands.

2. Providing ghostwriting services.

3. Getting leads for your services.

3. Does being a “Top Voice” on LinkedIn do anything for you?

Achieving Top Voice on LinkedIn means the LinkedIn Editors have selected for the quality content you are contributing to the community.

Everything else is done by quality content. Such as:

Nurturing your ICP for future leads.

Getting the chance to be a Guest Speaker.

Opportunity to be invited to Podcasting Events.

Able to establish Thought Leadership in your niche.

4. Difference between Golden Badge and Blue Badge on LinkedIn:

Golden Badge is a Community LinkedIn Badge that you can receive by contributing articles.

Blue Badge is a Top Voice badge given by LinkedIn to creators contributing quality content.
